Currently, the President’s image rating is upside down with 40% of respondents having a favorable opinion of him, and 55% having an unfavorable opinion. Maybe its me, but I don't think Obama was counting on Florida. Also, AFAIK, we are still on the Electoral College system. If things get too weird out there in them there red states, cooler heads can still save the country.

Fury's gonna take me to the glory goal
In my mind

WOW, some people just LOVE polls. Silly people, Polls are BS, the Vast Majority are manipulated to show the results the poller or those that hire them want the poll to show, it is very easy, just word the questions properly and ensure you poll the "right" people and Bang you have a Poll you can be proud of.

It's not too late...he can still hand out free pot to everyone in Florida. If you get them all stoned, they might vote for Obama. Can't see anyone doing so if they aren't though.

I believe Florida has a majority of senior voters. I can't imagine this group voting for a group of republicans who are the puppets of the tea party with an agenda to end Social Security and Medicare.
At the very least if the republicans take over in 2012 you will see Social Security privatized and control turned over to the banks that fund the republican elections funds. Under GW Bush Americans lost many of their rights under the Patriot Act. If this current group of republicans gains control in 2012 seniors can say goodbye to the few dollars they get from Social Security and Medicare won't be worth a plug nickel.

And yet, the teabaggers are the ones that voted Voldemort in, go figure.
