The Tea Party is not the Republican party, but they are Republicans. Seriously, how many of them do you think would ever even consider voting for a Democrat? They are a subset of the GOP.

they are a political movement who runs candidate within the republican party. Same as some socialist run within democratic party or Ron Paul a libertarian ran within the republican party. Then of course their is Bill Clinton faction to right of center in party and blue dog democrats to the right of that faction. When Obama's left got nomination first term there was quite a committee fight between Clinton faction and his.

Thats the new Republican party.."We are all moderates" but we oppose abortion, obamacare, minimum wage, immigration reform, extending unemployment, food stamps, medicaid, etc...but dont forget we are moderates.
It looks like we will have to put up with two years of nuttiness before the Tea Party base dies....actually dies.

You already screwed this up before. Not doing research and because someone said will always make one look foolish. Brannon was the Tea Party candidate.

There is real evidence that the tea party is just another billionaire machination. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Here's Tea Party Thom Tillis on a video talking about dividing and conquering people on public assisstance. There are good people on public assistance and bad people on public assistance. This is dog whistle politics.

Default The Tea Party is The Republican Party...Who Are They Fooling

This has been a long time coming. The GOP started to embrace the "religious right" back in the 80s and now those chickens have come home to roost. This lunatic fringe has now forced the Pubs so far to the right that they've lost old white guys like me.

And that's saying a lot.

Not me. I've been on record here on CD saying the same thing years ago.

It's the same party.
