Then as you know,
Monkeys may literally fly someday, but the ability to fly has to be an adaptation, or else a monkey offspring with wings won't necessarily grow and pass down its traits of having wings. For the monkey species to start flying, there has to be at least one mutated monkey with wings or something to fly with.
