Me thinks yes. This will be their defense against claims that they are not sexist or racist.

Those that do THE ACCUSING are the most guilty.

Contrary to the dems, we nominate based on factors who we think are the most qualified OTHER than race and sex.

Silly liberals, only one party nominates people based on sex or skin color and it ain't the Republicans.

Yes, the Republicans will nominate a White man as a vice President.

Since Whites are now a minority in the USA, Republicans will pick a minority.

I think they would, if the candidates are conservatives, and they think they can win with them. I also don't think defensiveness is the issue.

Whatever people's personal animosities and prejudices within the GOP (or the Dems), I really think the attainment of power is their prime objective. Even people for whom race is still a factor will vote for whoever brings home the prize, and save the "off-color humor" for when they are among friends.

One of the (precious few) real benefits of having Obama in the WH has been the fact he's innoculated the country against the stigma of a black president. People who hate him now, hate him for his policies, not his color. Obama has succeeded in making people on the Right and the Left so angry, we DON'T CARE what color he is! This is as it should be!

Of course, there still are a small and dwindling group of morons for whom a candidate's race is an issue. They are pathetic losers.

Don't hatchet your counts before they chicken. Whites will no longer be a majority in 20-30 years. Then they will still be the plurality. If the trend continues as it is today, you're going to have to wait for at least another 50 years till whites are a minority.
