There's an interesting juxtaposition between this story and recent comments made by Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. These two Tea Party favorites have suggested that all we need to do to create jobs is to reduce, or even eliminate, corporate income taxes. The argument being that, if corporations pay less in taxes, they will have more money to "create jobs". The problem with that argument is that it assumes that once those corporations reap the benefits of reduced taxes, they will actually use those funds for job creation. Apple's massive cash reserves show that corporate America isn't necessarily inclined to bestow their largess on working Americans.
Wow can't believe what I'm watching. According to the union boss Apple is obligated to invest in America and if it doesn't it is unpatriotic. Silly me I thought Apple had a fiduciary duty towards its shareholders.

And, unlike Microsoft, a duty toward its customers.
Apple is actually a "Chinese" compnay because virtually all of its products including iPhone, iPad and iPod the are manufactured there. Even the high tech displays and high tech electronics are made by subcontractors in China or Taiwan like Foxcomm.
When Apple was a "nobody niche" no one cared.
Now all of a sudden Apple needs to do something ?
Where was the outcry when Microsoft was top dog raking in millions and offshoring at the same time ?
Guess those unions are jealous...programmers don't belong to unions
The puter nerds don't need some union thug to negotiate pay for em. They make plenty. Now the union thugs who bullied em in high school picks up their garbage.

No it shows that people buy good products. If you reduce corporate taxes then corporations don't offshore to a more friendly business environment overseas. Why do you think apple shifts all it's patents to subsidiaries offshore? Its their most valuable commodity and they don't have to pay the highest tax in the civilized world on it. Are they just supposed to hired 70 billion worth of employees to sit around and do nothing? That sure makes business sense. Only the government using our money does ignorant crappola like that.

Licensing their patents to Chinese firms keeps Chinese firms from committing IP theft.
Unions are pigs feeding at the troth of the successful.
Unions do not create anything. Including jobs.
