Nope. Renamed 50K combat soldiers and called it "done".

Troop levels need to be dropped to ZERO.

If the mission is accomplished the 3000 or less is OK. If that is a political draw down and not one born of a military strategy then we have a leadership problem.

This as not a threat but a campaign promise.
The remaining troops are not combat; we have Halliburton mercenaries for that - at 5 -10 times the cost an no accounting.

The US was pushing to stay but Iraq would not provide immunity for criminal acts.
Stars & Stripes had several articles on it.
