U.S. urges Niger to detain Libyan officials in convoy - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/u-believes-senior-gaddafi-officials-entered-niger-170622650.html - broken link)

And what will the US do if Niger disobeys our holy command? Shock and awe? Cut of all humanitarian aid to the destitute citizens of Niger? Ban trading with Niger? Freeze the assets of everyone from Niger? We dom't make demands unless we know that there is some mechanism by which we can enforce them. By Bush Doctrine, all US demands are non-negotiable.

If it weren't so tragic, it would be funny. The US wants Qaddafi to leave Libya, and then blocks the way when they try to leave, so they can be executed instead. But we're too chicken to go in and kill him ourselves, leaving Libyans to die by the thousands in an insane civil war, in which (just like Nicaragua and El Salvador) we provide just enough help to one side to keep it balanced, so the civil war goes on forever, much to the delight of our military-industrial complex.

Naaaaaaaa, I'm betting on Iran...gotta take out israels last threat quickly before the U.S. masses wake up to the illusion. O, there will be weapons of mass destruction and some plutonium...They know this time to "put it there" first!!

Iran will be like Vietnam though, the U.S. can't win...they will never surrender. I hope we don't try. Haven't we (I mean our handlers) p***** off the whole world enough already?

Considering NATO knows about Khaddafi's envoy, there's probably some truce or deal worked out because they could easily spot 250 military vehicles traveling across open desert and are allowing him to leave.

There's lots of shiny stuff in the ground in Niger:

I wouldn't be surprised if we suddenly needed to "depose an evil dictator" or "root out terrorist cells" there.

I'm sure the people of Libya would rather have their harsh dictator back in power.

There are currently 124 thousand metric tons of rare earth elements in the world. China has 120 of em. We better catch up or all those Ipods and smart phones and battery cars etc will be a quick thing of the past. We'll be fighting "green wars" soon. Wonder how the tree huggers will react to that?
