Cali fools continually post that same old tired graphic which is (1) about 7 years old and (2) never backed up with any facts of details.

Then do us all a favor and move to Europe. Thanks.

Again, I do not deal in belief, that is your currency and why your positions are often invalid. /shrug

Which again is what you believe...
If you keep shrugging that much, your shoulders will fall off

Now contribute to the topic, will you...

I heard Armstrong and Getty on the radio describe California like this (summarizing):

It is like a VERY beautiful woman with whom you have awesome, mind-blowing sex. But she is seriously in need of some medication for her mental problems.

I haven't read your link. I will later. I do happen to live in CA; I've been here as a permanent resident since 1985... on and off for the 3 years before that. I immigrated here from Texas.

A huge amount of money is spent providing free health care for illegal aliens as well as incarcerating them for their various crimes. In 1994 Proposition 187 passed that would halt health care for illegals and turn them over for deportation. It was ruled unconstitutional by the US Supreme court. Californians tried to appeal but Grey Davis, a Democrat, let it die.

Believe it or not, the Communist Paradise you think CA is was the first state to pass immigration laws, not Arizona. And, it was far more encompassing than Arizona's law. 187 passed 59% to 41%.

Both the left and right have a media skewed view of California. While those interesting folks in Berkeley are very good at grabbing headlines with their antics, at the voting booth they have no power. Bottom line is that the LA metro has more than half the voters in CA so where LA goes, the rest of us must follow under penalty of law.

It pops up endlessly as an attempt to portray red states as helpless, hypocrites or mooches when stats show many red states have the lowest rates of welfare, food stamp use, etc and the big contributing states also have the highest rates of government dependency. There are 200k more welfare recipients in California than the entire population of South Dakota.

The ten poorest states in the country (and every one was a Red state in 2010):
1 Mississippi
2 Arkansas
3 West Virginia
4 Tennessee
5 South Carolina
6 Montana
7 Kentucky
8 Alabama
9 North Carolina
10 Louisiana

Looks like "GOP" should stand for "Good 'Ol Poverty!"
