Your unwillingess to deal with those facts says volumes about your political knowledgeability. I have no comment at this point about your fashion sense. I just hope you're more Gloria Steinem than Bella Abzug; more Helen Hunt than Betty Friedan; more Suzanne Pleshette than Helen Thomas.

Yup! Some people just can't recognize their sexism, and I suppose some don't care, it makes them feel safe(and falsely superior)......diminishing 50% of the population is so "intelligent"...LOL!

I didn't read the whole thread so maybe this has already been said but...it almost look like she goes out of her way to look as un-feminine and un-attractive as possible.
Maybe in an effort to be taken more seriously?
BTW...I don't think that is necessary for a woman to do.
In her case, she could certainly find a happy medium as I think she draws just as much attention to her appearance this way as she would if she went to the other extreme.
I didn't read that the issue was her lack of grooming or whatever the female equivalent of 3 day stubble is, but that she isn't wearing enough lip gloss and skirts.
I agree that part of the job is looking presentable. I haven't heard arguments that she looks unpresentable (nor have I seen evidence of this), more that she doesn't look "pretty" enough to some of her critics. To the latter argument, I say people need to get a life!
IMO the "equivalent of a 3 day stubble" on a woman is not taking the time to put on a little makeup.
Intense, high stress jobs such as the presidency--or perhaps Secretary of State--is wearing on anyone. Even after 2 1/2 years, Obama has more gray hair and looks noticeably older than he did when he took office. Not enough sleep and trying to balance a 24/7 schedule is bound to be difficult. Plus Hillary travels around the world even more than Obama does. In leadership positions, presentation of a "good image" is important and, because Hillary must deal with misogynistic cultures, it is even more incumbent on her to be on top of the game.
From the few pictures I have seen, I don't think she looks "unpresentable". She looks more tired than anything else.
Or perhaps without Hillary, Bill may never have been POTUS?
Hillary is NOT a Mary Todd Lincoln who pushed her husband to be more than he wanted. She is a hanger-on who admitted IN COLLEGE that Bill wa "going places" and so she pursed him. Too bad HE was pursueing anything with a skirt..... and apparently so was SHE.

How come she doesn't make an attempt to make herself more attractive like most others in politics? She was once very attractive when she was First Lady, but appears to just have "let herself go".
Sec of State is a more stressful job, with a lot more travelling.
In Hilary Clinton's case if she doesn't care and is doing her job I see no problem.

Ah, so my respect for one woman is discounted by you because of my contempt for another.
Seems to me that is true respect and equality - judging members of any group as individuals based upon their own individual merits or lack thereof.
