Neither. Abolish the 16th amendment and just have
a national sales tax - which is fair for EVERYONE -
rich or poor - legal or not.

A national sales tax would include EVERYBODY paying a tax. Don't buy anything, pay no tax. Buy alot of stuff, pay alot of taxes.
But, the income tax and the IRS must first be abolished, otherwise a sales tax would just become another tax to pay.

neither, there is a reason the constitution explicitly forbade taxing income. a small % national sales tax is all that is required to fund the only 2 true functions of the federal government, foreign affairs and interstate disputes. every domestic issue not outwardly repressing citizens is a state matter

Its true, I dont understand why more people are not up in arms about that. I mean how is it possible that the government takes almost 30% of MY income, and uses it to be so incompetent, and claims they need more? Really? you want a third of the money I earn? Crazy.

If you run a small business, look again at your schedule "C".

That can absorb a lot of income.

Could you describe how a progressive tax system works in comparison to this?

Thanks.

The business is 3 years old and last year was the first year to report a profit...trust me, he is pretty good. I've got all of my expenses covered in there. Its not an issue of my taxes being done wrong, I'm paying what I legally owe. And trust me, its a pretty small business...just a website really. Generates enough extra cash each month to make a difference for me, but not a huge difference.
