I think there is a valid discussion about whether or not this has any merit as an approach, but this is a state issue and has nothing to do with the federal government.

So you think Brownback is the "TEA party" leader who speaks for an entire national conscience on federal spending?

You guys are delusional, you see TEA party under every rock, and around every corner. Every other day the TEA party is represented by someone else. You guys are like the Salem witch hunters.

No.

They want to control that too.

Just in a different way.

Can you imagine anything more awkward and creepy than verbally asking permission to proceed to the next level of intimacy?

Nevermind that a man smiling and saying hello to a woman is forcible rape in the mind of the loony feminist.

As for conservatives, I don't know any who care about what you do in privacy, but the left really doesn't keep what they do private. They have this nasty habit of taking their agenda to the public schools and forcing their ideology onto other people's kids. I guess poking one's nose into other people's business is OK as long they are the ones doing it.

The governor of Kansas is not trying to tell anyone anything about their marriage. You linked to a blog post about a report that was submitted to the governor. Here's the most significant line in the entire piece, as far as your claim is concerned;
Quote:
There is no indication how much of this report Brownback embraces. The governor’s spokeswoman couldn’t answer the question because she hadn’t read the report or discussed it with the governor.

Yes, the government shouldn't interfere with corporations polluting, creating health hazards or exploiting workers. It should just be used to stop women from getting abortions and stopping gays from getting married.

Ok so you're saying both sides are controlling in the sexuality area? I guess I could see that.

The problem with conservative views on that is they don't realize that people will not always keep their legs closed. And not being in favor of sex Ed in middle school? Cmon.

The problem with liberal views on that is while they do realize that most people aren't always gonna keep their legs closed and want to promote protection, they also promote promiscuity, which results in many diseases, multiple baby mommas/daddies to one person, and a lot of baggage I also oppose teaching sex Ed in elementary school. What are you trying to do? Promote young prepubescent children to engage in that behavior? Cmon! Elementary school children should be focused on what's appropriate for their ages! Not engaging in adult matters! They're also nowhere near being responsible enough to engage in responsible sexual activity. So why promote it?

I love how parrots of the teabaggers, like Rick Perry and Bachmann, keep claiming we're "socialist" and "want to get government off our backs."

Yet these same people complain that Obama is doing EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT and KEEPING OUT OF THEIR BUSINESS in dealing with the natural disasters.

Texas doesn't want the Feds in their lives? OK. Fine. FEMA won't come to help fighting the wildfires there. Last I counted thousands have lost their homes. Way to go teabaggers!!

Also, if we get rid of the subsidies that farmers get, look out competition! You can betcha that we'll see MORE foreign foods in the US. Yeah makes sense! Very smart teabaggers!

And a lot of these people who decry the unfunded debt obligations like medication payments all want MORE OF IT. They can't afford it because they're too busy insisting on lower taxes so that the savings that big corporations reap from it can lay them all off and move to China. Yeah, very very smart moves!

So now we know the real face of the "tea party." To me, they're simply RINOs. Posers. Fakes. Shams.

If they had zero credibility to me before, they have negative credibility. I take everything they say and turn it on its head.

And they sound very much like Democrats when I do that because that's what they really want. They want everyone else to pay for their misguided "I wanna live off the land and have nobody support me because I think it's still the wild west!" vision.

Newsflash. This is the 21st century. Get out of the 18th century.

Meh, Brownback is a RINO, always was and always will be. He is pandering. Too bad Kansans didn't choose a Constitutional Conservative instead. Their problem.

There are many regulations that need to be gotten rid of. However, NONE would impact, "wasteful to ensure that our food is safe to eat and our water safe to drink."

If you can prove otherwise, please do so. I will be waiting.

If you can't, I'll be waiting for an apology.
