The EPA and all these other useless agencies, are the means the Government uses to take steps to Fascism.

So it's a violation because the hay was not stored in a "pollution containment zone".
Pray tell..what pollution does hay emit where it needs special containment ?
Hay is nothing more than cut grass and legumes.

I've stacked square bales out in the open and under cover (to keep it dry).
What pollutant comes from hay ? Don't tell me the smell because I love the smell of fresh hay

To take this further... Just last week, some hay buyers came up from TX to meet with some friends of mine in the local co-op to buy hay. They went back empty-handed. You see, the hay out here is cut and baled according to what works for the area, and it did not meet the buyers' EPA-enforced requirements. To bale and ship the hay according to the EPA standards would cost ranchers and hay farmers thousands of dollars more to produce - which also would raise the price of the bales of hay. So while the cattle in TX are doing without, thanks to their ongoing drought, with ranchers and feedlot owners trying to find hay that meets EPA standards, their end-sale beef prices are already going UP, due to what and how they have to feed them - according to the EPA.

The sales are being made out of desperation and high cost.

This is all about control, as they corral the people in so many areas.

Its really disgusting.

Here is the actual letter from the EPA:

And BB sure you can cut your grass - unless you are mowing a football field the amount is very small. The issue is cutting / harvesting / spraying anything out in farming country where your stuff can get into the next guy's stuff. If you don't have proper storage for your hay, don't cut it. Or do you think your neighbors appreciate your dry hay seeds blowing into whatever it is that you're growing?
You have just broken the cardinal rule of the right wing spin machine...using logic, reading comprehension and common sense, therefore, rep to you

Can you be a bit more specific? What works for the area? Seriously, what does that mean?

Agreed. It is "legislation" without the consent of the people or an elected body and is a subversion of the balances of government.

When we have an organization with the power of the EPA that essentially enforces whatever the hell it wants under the guise of the "Clean Air and Water Act", we have a rogue organization operating outside the law.

BAN THE EPA.

The problems among the environmental community are the same as those that infects our justice system, our sciences and many other aspects of America life. In a declining nation, political considerations override all others. Whichever law or decision most adversely affects your political opponent is the law of the land and the direction of a nation wafts back and forth at the discretion of hell-bent politicians. Wind turbines that were a big problem to enviros in the past have suddenly become the rage. Global cooling has become global warming as America replaces science for politics.
