Since the subject of the thread seems to have crossed over to Cancer now, I may as well give you some more truth you won't want to swallow. In the 1960's a cancer virus from primates was added to the polio vaccine which most of us alive at that time were given. Doesn't that make you feel warm and fuzzy all over about our medical establishment "caring" about us?? We, as a species, have done far worse in the name of "scientific progress." However, it makes their Hippocratic oath a Hypocritical oath at the very least.
Employers who can afford it provide health insurance to draw better talent as employees the way big salaries are given to CEOs head a company.
It isn't that difficult.
Problem is the cost of everything is going up and only large pools are given breaks. Smaller pools and indivuals are stuck with much higher bills.
Obamacare promises to make EVERYONE equally miserable to make it fair in the man child's eyes.
what other option IS there since republicans wouldn't go for a public option or a single payer system. It's either that or done through employers.
obviously this is an area that HAS to be HIGHLY regulated since it's a basic need and all and has to do withi people's very bodily lives. yet republicans don't want people to not get ripped off like denying someone due to pre existing conditions and not paying for things that are supposed to be covered etc. (new health care law).
Not me. Employer provided insurance was the unintended consequence of FDR's freezing of wages. Just more proof that the government needs to stay the heck out of private industry.
There was kinda of a major event happening around 1942 that did, in fact, require a lot of government intervention.
