The nine million dollars is the point. Come on now. How many people who are not corporate scumbags get huge severence packages for destroying their company and proving they are incompetent? Most don't get jack, whether they perform or not. People around here like to act like the Wall Street and CEO salaries are earned. It is pretty clear that in many case they are not, and they see themselves as another class entirely. It is revolting. Such parasites are preying on America, not strengthening it.
You have unions and management sucking companies dry and stealing from investors and stockholders. Athletes and movie stars are also hideously overpaid.
whats my point it cant get much clearer... 9 mill for what. these ceos think they are gods gift to mankind..
Well if you read your own article she made around 60 million her first two years there. That was approved by the same board that fired her. It's a private company. What do you care it's not your money. Get upset about the government stealing YOUR money if you care or don't invest in yahoo and not worry about it. Pretty simple stuff.

How are they "preying" on America? The government didn't approve her salary, benifits or severance a private entity did. The ones who should be upset are the shareholders. Apparently they were and she got fired. So again I ask what's the point??
How do you feel about unions? If you think that companies should have to live up to their end of union contracts, then you would be a hypocrite if you didn't also support the enforcement of all other employment contracts.
If you don't think that the compensation package is fair, you're free to buy some stock and make your position known during the annual shareholder meeting.
Whining online about some perceived unfairness (that you would probably be defending if we were talking about a union employee) is just plain silly.

There are lots of people in this planet right now that can't overcome the down turn in the economy.
If companies what to have as CEOs reputable talent they have to pay a high wage. FROM THE MARKET and all that.
Lots of good businesses are going down under the rules, restictions and taxes up against business these days.
Took a ride a few weeks ago through Palm Springs and a ton of the city is vacant regarding businesses. Same thing is happening in even Beverly Hills.
By the way, the city of Beverly Hills has 970+ union employees whose retirement packages add up to 3.5 million each. We are talking to sweep the street.
Residents are furious. Companies have the right to pay a lot and go out of business. A city who gets a bad number of politicians who give unions everything to get elected stick it to residents that didn't know with the bill.
THAT is not right.
