[T]he new data suggest that the health reform law may already be having a positive effect on coverage; the requirement that health insurers cover adult dependent children up to age 26 likely contributed to the significant reduction in the number and percentage of young adults age 19-25 without health insurance between 2009 and 2010. This is the only age group of non-elderly adults for which the percentage without insurance declined between 2009 and 2010.
So people aged 0-18 and 26-65 lost health insurance coverage..

but because the 19-25 cohort gained insurance coverage, obamacare has been a win? hah.

If you have a better alternative I'd love to hear about it. We considered dropping her HI for 6 months so she would be eligible for the high-risk pool, but they couldn't guarantee acceptance or rates.

[Edit] I may re-shop for mine, but my wife is locked in to HIPAA.
HIPAA Law was enacted in 1996. The ACA has compliance changes to start in 2012. Changes to simplify administration. I still don't see what ACA has to do with increasing Ins Company rip offs, that they apparently will still get away with until full ACA implementation.

Just offering a counterpoint to your topic "ACA is already working". Maybe for you, - not so much for me...

It's rolling out, has been and will continue. Many areas will be affected. For example --

Didn't you argue yesterday that the bill doesn't go into effect until 2014?

You can't have it both ways, bob.

Robert Greenstein is a far left wacko with ties to the obama administration.

What do you expect of him?

I love paying more due to ObamaCare.....besides what else would I do with my money anyway?

I know to concept of the new Law is hard for some to comprehend. Could that be why Pelosi said some would have to wait til it is passed, to see what's in it?

All I know is that you cannot insure 30 million more people and expect the cost to go down for those who actually pay.

Come on bob, even a leftie like you can understand that.
