President Barack Obama's disapproval rating has reached a new high of 55% while the number of Americans who think he is a strong leader has dropped to a new low, 48%, according to a CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday.
Quote:
But only 39% approve of how he is handling unemployment, and just 36% approve of the way he is handling the economy, not surprising when more than eight in 10 think the economy is in poor shape.

Who are these people who approve of his job performance? Thirty-Nine Percent!?!?! Dear God put down the koolaid!!! This guy is a failure no matter how you slice it!

I agree, the right wingers make this same thread numerous times almost daily. Keep in mind:
The republicans since taking over the house have led congress to the lowest approval ratings in US history
The tea party has horrific approval numbers in the low 20's.
While Obama's approval rating aren't stellar, the GOP and especially the tea party's approval is downright abysmal.

The Democrats run the Senate, so I'm not surprised at the low Congressional approval ratings.

I think you are conflating disapproval for Obama with support for Conservatives and Tea Partiers while underestimating how many people hate all the politicians. With that said Obama is the least hated of them all. Here is a poll from Sept. 11 that has a match up between Rick Perry and Obama. Obama wins by 11 points.

As bad as Obama's numbers are the Republicans are much much worse off.

If Obama were so popular, he would have carried NY-9.

What are you going to do when he gets fired next year?

Um...Where did I say Obama was "so popular" he is not. He is just more popular then pretty much every other national politician, which isn't saying much. As to NY 9th. I doubt the National election will be determined by issues like the NYC mosque and Israel.

As to what I am "going to do when he gets fired next year?" I do not think that is a assured outcome. In fact I would say it is not even a more likely then not outcome.

Nice try, the record low rating are because of the horrific way the GOP has been running the house, hell bent on destroying the country for their own political gain (the tea party for example is responsible for lowering the nations credit rating.)

Nice try again. I'm sure you're using that same logic for the democrats stomping the GOP in the historic win in NY-26

It wasn't too long ago I heard that Obama's approval rating was around 35 percent. My own approval rating of him is 0 percent.
