It is not surprising that a significant part of the reason Bush is hated in Europe, is because of this idea of "good" versus "evil" crap. Many Europeans have heard that kind of crap before, and not too long ago. And Hillary would fall on her face for the very same belief system as well.
But do I dislike her as much as I do Bush? Only if she were as driven by others' under her as Bush was. I think Bush committed a mistake by not listening to his real boss for once and now is being rebuked to this day.
They both said it because it was the right thing to say during a crisis of such magnitude.
Meaning if you don't want to support us after this attack you might as well be with the terrorists.
You had to go back a half of a century to get an opinion someone presented for that one.
He's not Bush.
After Bush, the Europeans (that I know) would be happy about almost anyone not as destructive as Bush.
Since I live in Europe and have lots of friends here, I might actually have something more than conjecture here.

They know they can push him around and he'll take it. They've wanted to take America down a peg for a long time and they know that with Obama they can.
I play online games and we get some europeans and they are pretty quick to use Obama to make fun of americans. He is not respected, but they're happy he's President.
I always rely on what people who play online games 24/7 say about politics.
Because he uses the same failed socialist concepts during his administration as the EU has been killing themselves with.
Misery likes company.
Here is an example of an American who reminds me of Bush. Doesn't present facts, doesn't care what Europeans really think, jumps to ridiculous conclusions. And you wonder why we didn't like Bush...
