I don't want to turn this into yet another boring abortion thread but Repugs think that if you say "if" humans don't have sex, women "should" keep their legs closed, ..say that enough times times human nature will change. It won't, it will never be a perfect world as they "wish" it "should" be.
They do NOT take into account the practical realities that abortion has been around, legal and illegal, and will always be around.....liberals are smart/kind/practical enough to want to make them rare and safe.....Repugs want to punish these women....
I agree that social conservatives have their own version of "pie in the sky" dreams but they do not represent the entire Republican party. I am about as non-religious as it gets.

Nor do some Democrats/liberals represent the entire Democrat party....

'If you are not a liberal at 20, you have no heart. If you are not Conservative by 40, you have no brain'.

Are you kidding me? Despite what Hannity or Beck will tell you, there is nothing "radical" about Barack Obama. He's pretty much a centrist, that's why many in his base are agitated with him.

Amazing!
A simple objective measurement, and you reject participation. Amazing.

Closing borders is not "Personal freedom." Pro-life is not "personal freedom." Marriage equality is not "personal freedom."

This isn't a discussion about personal freedoms--if it were, conservatives have already lost--conservative social policies are historically anti-freedom. This is a discussion of "open mindedness," which I've developed an objective measurement.

You refused to participate in such a measurement.

I have another question though. How many conservatives swing liberal in their elder years?

A "centrist"?

The senator with the most far left voting record in the Senate prior to becoming president?

The community organizer who associated with socialists and communists?

The child whose mother was a communist?

When one is standing on the FAR LEFT, EVERYTHING is conservative of that position. Obama is a far left wing liberal. A "centrist" would embrace "centrist" economic policies, rather than wild spending and "tax the rich" schemes.
