I used to get riled up when hearing republicans say that "Bush is smart", and "we are winning the war", and "mission accomplished". Now I just laugh because they are just trying to insult my intellingence.

I used to play Devil's advocate a lot when my language skills were more honed just to have a good argument but I just got tired of all the aggravation and found that arguing for the sake of it was just plain silly and a complete waste of time.
Making people angry just because I can gives me no pleasure.
I think you have to pick up your fights.

My son tries to rile me with non-political things sometimes, but it's because he is still somewhat immature.

I've riled people up before, but I'd never use an issue like illegal aliens invading America. Too many illegals kill, rape and plunder.

The Bible says not to provoke children to anger. So no, I just politely smile and finish my beer.

Do you ever say political things to rile people up? (Iraq, illegal)
If you do, you are engaging in narcissistic behavior. Narcissists want people to defend themselves. They don't just attend social functions - they preside over them.

No, not really. I prefer civil discourse rather than trolling people for an ego spike.

Not unless they are saying stupid political carp first then I say something and they shut right up since they aren't used to being challenged
