Present tragedy accepting, the Kennedys have always been risk takers so it kinda goes with the territory.

When your dad leaves someone to drown in a vehicle without offering any assistance so their political career won't be damaged, good chance some bad karma will settle in on the rest of family.

The realistic explanation is that she was either a smoker or had a genetic predisposition to such cancers.

While my sympathies go to her surviving family, as they would to anyone else losing a family member, I would hardly categorize her her death resulting from natural causes (cancer) a tragedy. It is simply part of the cycle of life. At least she made it to middle age.

I kinda do. Cancer is not really a natural way to go.

Did the Kennedy's start a thread on CD?
Didn't think so.

Is it news, yes; as much as if it were a Bush or other person from a president/congressional member's family.

What an inappropriate comment. What does a daughter have to do with what her father did over 40 years ago?

She wasn't a smoker. Her younger brother had his leg removed as a child from bone cancer, her father had brain cancer and she had lung cancer.

One less Kennedy in the world is not a bad thing.

Walter Mondale's daughter also passed away from cancer and was also 51.

Very sad.

51 is young and it was after a long illness that is what makes it tragic, what a dumb statement to make.
