better off not to vote for Obama and make him a 1 term president? I am not interested in other reasons, there are other threads for that. I in no way want to see anyone on the GOP side win (if Paul or Huntsman win, there may be a small chance I can stomach it), but on the flip side, considering the obstruction and just say no to everything way of the GOP, well, if Obama wins and you have the GOP in control of Congress, that's almost just as bad or maybe even worse (4 more years of that)?
It's too bad the Democrats weren't like this when it came to dealing with Bush (especially on the war), but that's what makes them respectable, at the same time, they're not crybabies, like the GOP are and are a lot more likely to put the good of the country, before winning elections and getting their guy in office.
Again, the ? is for independents, even if you don't agree with everything I just wrote....

As an Independent, I overwhelmingly support Obama for his second term. I think Republicans are incompetent, idiotic, ineffective, and disastrous when in office. The country continues to reel from their stench.

This is why Dems must rise up and get those rejects out of Congress. I'm counting on this for 2012.

I don't feel that the scenario that you present here, with Pubs in control of Congress, is possible. Republicans represent failure and have rerpesented failure now for 11 years running. I don't see the country supporting their continued nonsense by giving Congress to them. "Buyer's remorse" means that tea party and Pubs are in trouble next year.

It is not a GOP vs. DNC deal
Republican vs. Democrat...

It is the progressive suicide we need to rid this nation of, to once again be respected and prosperous.

True Constitutional Conservative ideas that have proved to make us free to choose what we as individuals want to do.

Independent?

Seriously?

You can't even figure out the difference in a Conservative and a Republican.
Nor can you figure out the difference in a Progressive were you fit in and a Democrat.

You have all the indicators of being an Obamabot.

The GOP House is all that stands between a recovery and Barack taking this country further into a depression with his untimely social policies.

If Obama loses and GOP gains complete control of the two branches (if not all three), I would be accelerating my retirement plans, and perhaps also find solace in that this country clearly deserves the ultimate kick in the rear so the future generations can learn from it and rebuilds.

I take it that if A_Lexus were supporting Perry, you'd think A_Lexus was an independent then.

"Again, the ? is for independents"

Even though I know it's impossible for right wingers to handle, respect who the OP stated the thread was addressed for
