This does not surprise me. I expected it, not just Texas either. However, this should sink Perry as far as I'm concerned.

He is for the corporation. Immigrants - especially illegal ones - are cheap labor, meaning more profits. Plus their kids can go to college and pay in-state tuition while kids of US citizens but not in TX have to pay full price. Still, many will vote for Perry since he has a hotline to god in cases of drought.

Well, leaders on both sides of the aisle are not doing much to tackle illegal immigration. Repeal of the 14th (which is only a partial answer) is not going to be easy at all. So, we all need to grin an bear it. We also need to stop blaming the illegals (if I were in their position, I would probably do the same thing) and blame ourselves for letting our leaders get away with this.

Would you throw or give away a $100 bill if you found one without any trace of its owner? If you must, blame those who provide them with milk (or in this case, the one who threw away that $100 bill you found).
