I'd support a 100% drafted army for all wars, with no exemptions for students or any reason other than physical impairment. Lets see how patriotic those who wave the flag, and never pay for wars via higher tax rates (see last decade) truly are. Sonny boy and precious daughter can march off to war..on the front lines.

I have always advocated for compulsory military service. A minimum of two years right after they graduate high school, able-bodied men and women alike. In return for their honorable service and crappy pay, two years of free education at a university, college, or trade school of their choice.
No I would not. I don't believe that we should be entering into wars unless the US is directly threatenedor attacked.
England is a much better ally than Israel and yet we didnt get involved in the Falklands war and for good reason. It was none of our business.
If they cut benefits, retirement and otherwise, to our military men and women they are going to need a draft in order to have a military.
Israel doesn't need our military strength; it is strong on it's own.
Heck, look how smart they are in airport security. Not like the US who wastes millions of dollars because they don't profile and hire thieves, who are more interested in stealing stuff from baggage.
Israel has no need for American troops. They would just get in the way (looking at their history in desert warfare for the past 10 years). The Israelis have an active reserve of over 600,000 that can be called up within 72 hours and ones currently active probably runs at about 150,000.

You're right...they do not need our manpower.

No. I wouldn't even support a voluntary army defending Israel. No more wars. We need to focus inside our borders for a change.
