The Dem Senate out-smarted the Tea Party this time. Wait till the House GOP gets back from it's Rash Hassonah recess and finds out the hostages escaped!!!

The House has to sign off on it. What are the chances of a spending bill originating in the Senate and going to the House and getting passed AS IS ?

Spending bills originate in the House. The Senate hasn't accomplished anything yet.

How's about Congress as a whole; that body of government that is supposed to have put together a budget ?

Neither party is looking good right now fb..it's 9/26 and there's no budget..yet again.

The house has shown plenty of leadership and passed many bills that the idiots in the Senate never voted on or voted down. Nice how that works the other way.

The deal basically kicks the can down the road. No funding increase from FEMA, no funding cuts for alternative energy loans. The house will now use a parliamentary trick to pass the legislation.

As far as "all spending bills originate in the House", the senate is amending the bill the House originally sent. The house will now vote to approve the amendment.

Hopefully Boehner will start doing his job rather than pandering to the 80 TNuts in the House. There are enough Repubs and Dems to do the House's work.

the only one not doing their job is reid

reid is not even letting the POTUS do his job of sign/veto...the fascist pig of reid needs to be put out of the senate

There are times to bring bills to the floor that, all know, will not pass. But they are very rare. Just have to think about the 400 plus from last Congress, that were passed by Dems in House, and gone nowhere in Senate. You remember the "great filibuster" Senate, don't you?
