Jobs are not created by the rich.

Jobs are created by the middle class.

When Sam Walton opened his first Wal-Mart, was he rich? No, he was middle class. When Pepsi started, middle class. Even Bill Gates, middle class.

Job creation is the result of innovation and entrepreneurship. The rich don't need to innovate or to be entrepreneurs. They may encourage such activities, and they may help finance such activities, but job creators almost always come from the middle class, and even, sometimes from the poor. For instance, J K Rowling's business enterprises (the books, the movies, all the associated marketing and merchandising) created thousands of jobs. And she was dirt poor when she wrote the first book.

Your point? Consider the source. Need I say more?

Incoherent argument is incoherent.

Wrong analogy. Should be How many jobs have been created by the middle class?

So, basically Bill Maher is ok with suffocating Cathy's Organic Yogurt Corner with the same high tax rate that HP and Apple pay?

Does he believe the former is as evil as the latter?

Probably a wage that pays their bills and living expenses.

And if there were regulations in place to provide adequate restrooms, adequate breaks, reasonable work hours, protection from herbicides and other hazards...you know, all the things that should make America a great country to work in...something to be proud of for a reason...

2.) Eliminate unions. Period. Companies can't afford to pay the guy that sweeps the floor at the GM plant $35 an hour, or give him $40K per year retirement for the rest of his life after his 50th birthday. And you wonder why companies would rather open up shop in India, China, or Mexico?
3.) Quit the "Green Jobs" crap. We have enough oil, and enough people to drill for it right here in the USA.
4.) Eliminate needless government regulation.
5.) Eliminate the Department of Education, (states can handle this), the Department of Labor, (the laws of the land protect our workers), and the "czars" that are overseeing nearly every industry in America.
6.) Reform all forms of wellfare.
-All that is just a start, but will quickly produce an increase in employment in our country.
With the exception of 1 and 2, which an argument could be made that this would increase jobs. 3-6 do nothing to create jobs. It is just a myth.

The fact is that neither party has a plan to increase jobs permanantly.

Who is more important? He who owns the means of production, or he who does the producing?

Who would fare worse if people had to go back to making, growing and living locally? Tradesmen and craftsmen (workers) ... or... globalized managers who make "hard decisions" all day like how many workers they should cut to ensure that executive bonuses remain undisturbed?

Destroy the corporation, and society would change, but not collapse. However, get rid of exploitable labor, and the "job creators" world crashes down around them.
FedEx employees would have a hard time getting the job done without the planes and trucks and terminals. Caterpillar employees would have a devil of a time trying to put together a machine in an open field.

"What if one day, the workers didn't show up?" Not likely. Over a hundred million of us show up every day for work, because that particular job is the highest and best use of our time. We are getting paid market value for our time. If you do not like your market value, strive to become more valuable to the rest of society.

Destroy the corporation, and we would soon be back to subsistence agriculture, living nasty short and brutish lives. Go ahead if you want, but do not try to take me with you.

Yes, the Job Creators have created more jobs....in China and India. Apparently Republicans want to give them more tax cuts for it.

Hummmmm......first the truck has to be built.

Then delivered to the dealership.

Then prepared for sale.

All trucks in the US go though a DOT inspection.

Then a job for the salesperson.

Now it has to be lettered.

Filled with fuel. (that all needs to delivered and many people work in the gas stations)

Now we need license plates.

And maybe a trailer to pull....

Now, a CDL that means a physical and a road test.

BTW...don't forget insurance.

Mine is about $15,000 a year on 18 vehicles.
