The Tea Party as a whole isn't racist, they're just Republicans who didn't care about Bush's deficit spending but are now extremely upset about Obama's deficit spending.
it's not that he's black, it's that he's a Democrat.

What did the TParty know of the Obama's spending the day after Inauguration? Well, other than what was visually apparent.
I have always loved and respected Morgan Freeman as an actor, however, his statement about the Republican's being racists, was illogical. I voted for Obama, I'm an Independent, and I do not like what he's done to this country as President...that doesn't make me a racist..
Bottom line, the nation elected a black president already. If he doesn't cut it, he's getting fired. Worked the same for the long string of white guys before him too, not sure what kind of "ism" was responsible for their collective issues.
I think Morgan Freeman thinks he's going to help Obama by pulling out that handy old race card and guilting deserters back to Obama's camp. If anything, this type of thing just drives people away. It reeks of desperation.

A good start would be to figure out if you believe there are people opposing his Presidency (right from the beginning, much less as a candidate), and wanting him to fail miserably. Do you think such people exist in Obama's opposition?
We can also discuss if Lee Atwater had a mistaken sense of the new Southern Strategy that he claims to have started, beginning with Reagan campaign?

He didn't say Republicans are racist, but Teabaggers are.
Teabaggers for the most part are the folks that want the Government to stay out of people's lives as long as they believe how they do.
your right on 1/2 of that statement, and I feel the same way...however, we can't all agree all the time, ya win some, ya loose some, and I don't believe all the teabaggers feel that way....that's a general statement, which doesn't apply, it's unrealistic...no two people ever think alike all of the time...
