Pretty much kills the teabagger argument that anyone who is anti Obama is a labeled a racist.

Being against Obama does not make you a racist. However, if you refer to Obama or his family as apes and accuse Obama of liking watermelon, fried chicken, welfare, and food stamps, you might be a racist, or a tea partier.

I love watermelon and fried chicken but don't think I have any black blood in me anywhere. However, I don't refer to watermelon and fried chicken as if it were the food of any race. I have been called racist many times because I don't like Obama's policies and didn't vote for him. I guess lefties don't pick on other lefties about Obama.

So why would your movement assume that Obama loves watermelon, kool aid, and fried chicken? Has Obama ever expressed admiration for those foods?

What are some examples of this from your real, non-online life? Any stories? I'd be interested in hearing them. I've been involved in and have observed a lot of non-race based arguments about Obama's policy and have never seen the race card pulled by Obama supporters.

I've never seen a post by you that is critical of Obama's policies; just post after post whining about "teabaggers".

Few and far between, but I believe you. I just wonder why you spend so much time expressing butt-hurt over the "tea party". Maybe its because you, like many other progs, hate Obama's opponents more than you support Obama.

Yeah, that's it!

By the way, don't anyone use the term "teabagger" on the Arizona forum, the resident mod will give you an infraction.

I have to say that the epithet "racist" is used WAY too much by my fellow liberals and socialists, and they also try to censor any kind of reasonable discussion about racial or even cultural differences by hysterically yelling that at anyone who disagrees with them in the slightest way is a racist. You can't solve problems without reasonable discussions.

Tea Potty members are generally the conservative type of libertarian, as opposed to anarchists who are the liberal type of libertarian (in my opinion, my observations). Survivalist forums are often mainly Tea Potty types, and I've frequented those forums for years (but very little now). I have to say that there was little racism, and sometimes members were banned for going overboard on that. There was an acceptance that there were severe CULTURAL differences and a much higher crime rate among blacks and hispanics (which is true), but the overwhelming consensus was that the cause was an inability to take "personal responsibility" for their actions, a phrase which is heavily used by all conservatives.

A few are racist. They are noticed more than the others, because what they say is so shocking. It's kind of like when a few leftwingers demand race reparations - only a very few liberals would support that, but the idea is so shockingly stupid that it's noticed more than reasonable ideas, and thus conservatives think most of us believe in doing that.

By the way, I'm amazed that there are liberals who think Obama is liberal or anything better than the lesser of evils. He's pretty much Bush Lite in my opinion. Our country is collapsing economically because of fighting useless wars overseas, but Obama caved to the "defense" corporations' demands for more taxpayer money to develop weapons to bomb camel herders with greater and greater accuracy. He's said that war and military expenditures are "off the table" for consideration in reforming the national budget, even though they're the most obvious place to start. As some of you may remember, he even plagiarized Bush's speeches about why we needed to be over there, and how we were going to withdraw eventually but the numbers of soldiers and the expenditures had to increase so that we could safely withdraw some day.
