yeah, if the iranian navy stuck together. i figured three subs would do the trick as they can cover large swaths of the ocean.
Wouldn't even need subs, maritime air patrol would handle. The level of technology on Iranian frigates would have little chance at dealing with an incoming harpoon dropped from 50 miles away coming in 20 feet above the waves.

you are right, they have the same rights in international waters that any other country has. iran however is only making the claims as provocation rather than any real use of the worlds oceans.

oh so when iran or other intelligence agencies do wha thte US is doing is fine, but the US isnt allowed to use our intelligence agencies? is that what you are saying? iran isnt using their "navy" to help keep the sea lanes open, but rather as open provocation. the US uses our navy to keep sea lanes open. on the other hand EVERY intelligence agency AROUND the WORLD, uses covert activities in EVERY COUNTRY for a variety of reasons. that is the nature of covert activities and intelligence agencies.

you dont think that iran is going to use any intelligence they gain from us to try and overthrow our government in the long run? remember that they want a world caliphate, and they want to be a world power.
as for the US spending money to bring down the iranian government, that is probably quite true, we have done it before in other countries as well, cuba being the most notable.

so where did i suggest that iran had no business putting their ships into international waters? as for what iran is doing, and comparing to what the US does, i already know that iran doesnt have the resources to do what the US does at our level. i have also said that what iran is doing is a lot of bluster and not much else.
