Ha!

Nothing but hot air from them.

he lead article the Chinese Communist Party newspaper Global Times on Tuesday contained an alarming call for a declaration of war against Vietnam and Philippines, two nations that in recent weeks launched the loudest protests against China’s sweeping maritime sovereignty claims over the South China Sea.

Is this any different then hearing some think-tank here in America wanting America to mount a first strike against Iran or invade Mexico?

This concern over China is hilarious...

Yeah, and they are all 60+ years old.....

Active Chinese army: 2,285,000

Active Vietnamese army: 455,000

Combining active+paramilitary+reserves Vietnam has +500,000 troops more then China *BUT* China by far has technology that outstrips Vietnam.

And if they were to go to war with Vietnam they would not have politicians standing in their way like America did when they were fighting in Vietnam.

If you are going to speculate on military topics at least sound intelligent...

China already tried this in the Sino-Vietnamese War of 1979 - they got their asses kicked big time by the Vietnamese.

The United States has close economic, cultural, military and political ties with the Philippines - they were afterall a US colony - so I would strongly advise the Chinese to steer clear of the Philippines.

And posters demand accurate thread titles.

An article in a Chinese newspaper written under a pseudonym isn't "China" demanding war.

China Demands War.

That's a good sign. It shows that they haven't studied America's involvement in Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Grenada (or, if you turn back the pages of the history book a little, Haiti and the Dominican Republic) at all. If they want war, by all means let them go ahead and have some. And where better than Vietnam and the Philippines--at the same time? That requires two completely separate armies. We should sit back and enjoy the spectacle of China shooting itself in the foot.

The Chinese are dumb, they think the whole world revolves around them and that they are the mightiest nation on Earth. This is why the claim all of Asia and the Pacific. Their own arrogance and greed is what will eventually bring them down ... and that will happen alot sooner than many people think. The People's Republic of China has maybe another decade of existence left.

In reality the NYPD alone could send them packing back to Beijing.

The main difference is that Vietnam's army has remained 1979ish and China is pretty modern.
