Which State Is The Most Corrupt?

My top choice is New Jersey. Governor Jon Corzine appointed the Attorney General as well as the chief justice of the NJ Supreme Court. He is above the law. (The first Attorney General, who Corzine appointed, had to resign for ethics problems and a cover-up.)

Corruption starts at the top of the New Jersey state government and works through the rest of the political levels of the state. Sadly, it is across both major party lines.

New Jersey is VERY corrupt. City Journal had a long article about this last year. Louisiana is also near or at the top, depending on the year. I would also add Illinois, which always seems to be a hotbed of political corruption, and Alaska, which is also quite corrupt.

I didn't see Rhode Island on there and it's very corrupt. New Jersey is corrupt as well.

Haha, I live right on the border with NJ and I can smell the corruptness from my back yard.

I voted California - if any state can trump our delightful Dianne Feinstein, I would love to know.

I voted NJ, where we allowed McGreedy to escape questions of corruption behind the smokescreen of being gay.
