Oh well - there goes that meme from the liberal media/Left that the GOP is so very unpopular.

Americans Give GOP Edge in Handling Nation's Problems

Quote:
PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans see the Republican Party as better able than the Democratic Party to protect the country from terrorism and military threats, and to keep the country prosperous over the next few years.

These views come as record numbers of Americans are dissatisfied with the way the nation is being governed and express highly negative opinions about a number of other dimensions of the federal government.
Obama and the dems will get the brunt of anger about the track this country is on, which is at a record disapproval.

Gallup: GOP has double-digit lead on nat’l security, prosperity over Dems « Hot Air

Quote:
With the single exception of a tie in late 2002, voters have generally trusted Democrats to protect prosperity over Republicans as late as the third quarter of 2009, at that time by 50/39. By the time of the 2010 midterms, that had flipped by 19 points in the gap to a 48/40 advantage for the GOP. And it’s telling that a year later, after nine months of Republican control of the House, that margin has only changed slightly — and in the direction of Republicans, 48/39.
Oh...very telling.

Liberal ideology has always been a house of cards. The intent may be noble, but the execution is devastating to this nation. That's why Liberalism has never been the majority ideology, and in my opinion, never will be. This country is rooted in rebellion and conservatism. Liberalism cannot thrive in a constituency that is not afraid to rebel against its government simply because Liberalism requires government intervention in order to be successful. In essence, Liberalism is the anti-thesis of everything America stands for. It only takes a few short spurts of collective amnesia for the country to realize that nothing good comes from those who would rob Peter to pay Paul.

The country is in the midst of dealing a devastating blow to liberalism...starting in 2010 and hopefully completing the task in the next couple election cycles.
