As a former broadcast audio mixer, I can tell you that these mistakes can happen pretty easily if you are goofing off or not paying attention. All you have to do is load the wrong audio track or push the wrong button. One time when we were doing a live promo for the upcoming show, I played cuckoo clock sound effects instead of the news theme music. I had been fooling around with sound effects before the show and forgot to reset my playback machine.
From what they've said it was just some stooge intern, maybe white or black, who listens to that rap garbage. But this wasn't the particular piece although the one played did drop the n word once.
Listening to garbage music doesn't make you a racist or a hater necessarily.
With a 103 year old driving I think I'll stay out of Coatesville.
You know what? That takes some balls to say something like that. If CNN really messed this up.. or this is a fake... that's not even the point. That song is NOT fake. That is a REAL song.
So, a black guy who makes that song ISN'T intolerant? Hmm?

True! Maybe blacks will cut CNN a break because they cut Obama breaks all (literally 'ALL') the time. Or maybe blacks don't consider it racist...even though CNN sure felt guilty about the 'slip up'.
I doubt any blacks will weigh-in on the matter because they don't want to criticize CNN, which always protects clown Obozo.

And who knows what happened? What I would want to know is who exactly at CNN had that? It doesn't really surprise me that much seeing how blacks, hispanics, and other minorities aren't the only ones who listen to hip hop.
P.S., there's a reason why Fox News is seen as a racist network. When you call COMMON a thug, that just points it out. If you think the softest raper on the planet is a thug (no offense to Common), then clearly you hate or are just afraid of black people.

A Black guy who sings/wrote this song is a much different topic than WHY it was chosen to be played on a segment about an elderly Black woman driving.
