I find it difficult to really understand what the platform is for those protesting. There are so many issues and without a specific platform it appears to be unfocused and masses just protesting.

It shocks me how many people, conservatives especially, are like meek little sheep to the slaughter. They defend the very people who have perverted their business model to profit directly from THEIR misery. Folks, this is not capitalism any longer; it's corrupt, high-tech robbery. It's not a level playing field.

And lest you think I'm giving democrats a free pass here, I'm not. They're just as corrupt, and most of Obama's administration was heavily influenced by chummy buddies from Wall Street.

.
Maybe it's because 100% of the issues people are protesting about are either government failures or personal failures.

If government spent less time fighting useless wars and telling us what we cannot smoke, it would have more time to spend on it's primary function; protecting the people and their property.

The primary function of government is to protect the people. If "wall street" is stealing peoples money, that's not a "wall Street" problem. It's a government problem and government should prosecute the guilty.

It's not a GM failure that they got bailed out. It's a government (Obama) failure. So don't protest at the doors of GM; protest in front of the White House.

It's not a Solyndra failure that they took a half a billion dollars from the taxpayers; it's a government (Obama) failure. So protest at the steps of the White House.

Yes, it's not capitalism... it's CRONY CAPITALISM and a failure of Government.

There is so much wrong with this post and the comments it inspired that I don't know where to start my rant. Have you people ever been to NYC?

Since the time of Reagan when it was decided that no one can compel a mentally ill person to an institution and never funded community care, homeless people and mentally ill people are all over NYC.

That trash pile is all in a days work for NYC. I have crawled over trash to get to the bus stop. Plenty of places have a mountain of trash every morning.

Cops are every 2 feet surrounding the park. They have a cherry picker so they can get up above the crowd and look down on it. The supervisor would love to throw that guy in jail or pepper spray him. I betcha, that photo is not from the OWS site at all.

As far as using the toilet at Burger King, they are full of homeless crazies all the time. That is why nobody else will use them.

I'm told by folks who go down to the park that there is no pot smoking at all as they would be arrested.

Since 9-11 there has been no place for any kind of protest or gathering to state grievances against the government. You can bet the rent money that HS folks are all over that place as well as NYCPD.

Have y'all forgotten the part about bearing false witness? There is opinion and there is fact. These right wingers are are all about personal responsibility. What happened to being truthful?

Why did he defecate on a police car? Couldn't he find a Tea Party hat to defecate into?

My portfolio is doing OK overall, but my biggest concern is the health of the overall economy. Go ahead, put the banks out of business...we'll all be eating tree grass and bark, or standing in a long, long line waiting for insufficient amounts of government food.

Aside from shelter, clothing, food, technology, energy, medicine, and transportation, WHAT HAVE THE CORPROATIONS EVER DONE FOR US?

Top Ten List for this thread.
10.It's nothing we haven't seen in the seats at a Mets or Giants home game. Or on the field come to think of it.
9. How about : " Hey don't do that, people have sex on that car!"
8. They were filming a Law and Order SVU episode, it was about a fecalomaniac.
7.Maybe he was just mad the Yankees lost and couldn't overturn the car due to a bad back.
6.That tofu and soymilk really go through you.
5.One person took a dump in public then the whole crowd of OCW protestors began doing it while chanting in unison.
4. The poor guy is an intern at MSNBC and as we know, they have no restrooms in the building. Look at the hosts uptight expressions and snippy moods, thats why.
3. That was an NYPD, New York Poo Disposal car, not a police car.
2. It was nothing compared to the guy vomiting on the flag.
1. He wiped his backside with dollar bills so it was a legitimiate protest of US economic policy. And also an upcoming art exhibit, he got a government grant for it.

Thumbs up Another Great Video At The Protests From The Guy Who Schooled The Fox News Reporter

This guy is really becoming the face of the OWS protestors. He shows they are intelligent, well educated, and speaks for the legitimate reasons to protest against

The original video for those that missed it.

I agree with your anger. But you are angry at the wrong people. I have no problem with banks asking for bail outs. I have no issue with GM for asking for a bail out. I have no issue with lazy bums asking for government money.

My issue is with the people who GIVE these bums money. My issue is with OBAMA and CONGRESS for bailing out the banks and GM and giving Solyndra a half a billion of our tax dollars.

You need to direct your anger toward the decision makers... not the people asking for money.

OBAMA decided to socialize GM's losses. That was not a GM decision.

So those "irresponsible greedy fat cats who choose to gamble with other people's money" are sitting in Washington today and will be asking for your vote soon. It's really that simple. WASHINGTON makes ALL DECISIONS.
