Don't most conservatives believe that deep down, life was better for African-Americans before civil rights legislation and the war on poverty?

In part I agree with Cain. But one reason many don't have jobs is that the 'troubles' and greed on Wall Street caused many of those jobs to go away. The POTUS policies aren't making the situation better either. Stop proposing stupid regulations and businesses will be less afraid to spend the cash that has been stored up.

It is safe to say any young person who went into debt to get a degree that would not lead to employment made bad choices.
It is also safe to say that something is bad wrong with our system. As long as politicians use government rules to reward their friends and punish their enemies, we are screwed. If these Occupy Wall Street folks every have a conversation with the Tea Party folks, they might solve this mess. I'm talking about the initial Tea Party, not after it was taken over by Dick Armey. The OWS has not been around long enough for the opportunist to take over, but move on is trying.

These are sad stories. I just don't believe that they should blame people who have succeeded.

Sure . There are many who lost jobs and there is a safety net to give them time to find a job. Yet there are people who juggle three jobs as Herman Cain's father did to make ends meet.

Cain knows hard times and saw his dad going after the american dream and not complaining or looking for a hand out.

And during what years was that?

Are people seriously going to try to compare the cost of living fifty-some-odd years ago with now?
Are people seriously going to try to compare the nature of available jobs fifty-some-odd years ago with now?

Where are the manufacturing jobs?
Where are the jobs that don't require a college degree that actually pay a living wage?
Where are the jobs that would guarantee twenty years employment and then a decent pension?

It's the 21st century people. Wake up.

Cain Tells Occupy Wall Street Protesters to 'Blame Yourself' - ABC News

SO True!!!!!!
This guy is Obama's worst nightmare. If Cain wins the nomination, Obama will probably drop Biden For Hillary for VP...

Meanwhile, this "movement" is looking more and more like a left wing political movement (The Anti Tea Party).

Not only Are A Few Unions Joining this movement in full force.
So is MoveOn.org

MoveOn.org among those joining Occupy Wall St.

[/LEFT]

and George Soros.

George Soros Says He Sympathizes With Occupy Wall Street Protesters

I like Cain and here's why. Few months ago he was doing an interview and they asked him what he would do about this and that. He said hey I'm not an expert on everything, nobody is. What the CEO, or president in this case, does is put people in charge who are experts. That is the problem with Obama and his minions. They think they know everything. Nobody is an expert on everything. Plus Cain has some good pizza.
