If you believe in God (I don't) then perhaps he/she gave doctors the knowledge and skills to perform abortions. At least this is the reason I hear religious people use for the justification of fertility treatments when posed with the question about it being God's plan for them to be childless.
and to turn the question against the pro-liars.
What in the case of in-vitro fertizliation?
Women who get invitro are implanted with not 1 but up to 5 fertilized embryos into their womb. And what if all of them take? What if the woman only wants 1 child? Guess what? The other four are aborted.
Guess it's fine to them if the pregnancy doesn't happen naturally huh?
Oh, what about all of the other fertlized embryo's in the dish? There are at least 10 eggs fertilized for implantation, yet doctors only implant up to 5 (some states is a maxium of 3). What about the other embryo's in the dish?
How about posting some web sites that support your positions? I can't believe you cannot find some. Really. That would be better than just carping about it and putting people down who have different views than yours.

Support our positions? There is a thing called law. It says that abortions performed during the first part of a pregnancy (usually up to the first 16 weeks), is legal. Only under certain circumstances and many doctor's opinions, can abortion happen after that, and IN ONLY some states. We do not need websites to support our position since ITS LEGAL to have an abortion in this country
janelle, re read arus post, we need nothing to "support" our right to choice. it is the law

More about this site: This website contains information, help and resources for women dealing with Post Abortion Stress Syndrome, also referred to as "PASS". We provide neutral, non-judgmental, non-religion based, non-politically affiliated online support, information, help and healing. This site was created by "jilly", a woman who has recovered from her own struggles with PASS after 5 abortions. We provide help through "peer support" discussion, volunteer helpers, message board communication and online information. "Peer Support" means that there are no professional counselors or doctors here, just other women who have been through these experiences and understand them. Regardless of whether your abortion was 3 weeks ago, 3 years ago, or 30 years ago, you can find other women who understand, and lots of support.

Or the unused embryos that are thrown away once someone gets their chosen # of children and don't want to pay for storage any longer. I have heard some VERY religious people who refuse to give the embryos for stem cell research and would rather they be thrown away. Good way to treat your embryos you God fearing individuals!

Well I was infertile and NO I did not go with in vitro. I did not want embryos thrown away. Also, adult stem cells from research has proven to be much better way to go than embryos.
No religious person wants the embryos to be thrown away.

Going to wars is also the law but does that make all wars moral? There are many bad laws out there.
