It's interesting how all of these right wingers run to "not for profit, cooperative" institutions based on fairness, community governance, and a distributed ownership model when THEIR money or conveniences is at stake.... Yet politically, they vote for competitiveness, exclusivity and a lack of regulation that robs the middle class of the very values espoused by Credit Unions...

The word Union is in there for a reason...
Hypocrites. Again.

I am leaving the banks because our ridiculous government is in bed with the financial companies and therefore you have nothing that even remotely resembles even a semi-free market environment. The banks and the government are there solely to prop each other up...the fact that they happen to also provide financial services at this point seems to only be a legacy issue to them.
I am a meber of two crdit unions but the new regualtions will hit them once the big boys show the way .They like bnaks have to make a profit and reading ther new regualtions it clear it goig to change for all how they do it and who they charge.

It's interesting how you can't tell the difference between voluntary and forced cooperation.
Hmmmm, I will consider switching to a credit union.
