No. I don't think very many posters have a clue what their political party is all about. And whatever movements are in action tend to pick up supporters who just like to jump on bandwagons or like the sound of something. I don't see much intellect in most of the fringe posters (far this or that) on either side to be honest.

Forgot to add that there are some crazy smart people posting here who I learn a lot from!

It's pretty easy to tell who's put a bit of thought behind what they're saying. The less coherent posters are likely more representative of a particular ideology.
