Typical far right thinking and and outright LIE. No one here advocates such a thing, there are laws against such things, but what two consenting Adults do in their bedroom is none of the your, or the governments, business, Period. Oh and the poll numbers here Prove Americans think the same way.

At one time among politicians, being called a "party man" was considered a grave insult because it meant you put your party ahead of your country. Other traditional values people should be teaching their children include placing a high value on education, personal responsibility, honoring people who earn an honest living, looking down upon those who choose to commit a life of crime.
I would like our government to be held accountable like the above. I'll take care of my (and my families) values.

43% of adults aged 35-54 say the same as do 51% of those 55 and older.

Americans Divided on Gov't Role in Promoting Values
I'm not even sure what "traditional" values are. Are they your traditional values or someone elses? Are they the values of your grandparents or your grandkids? Should the traditional values of one group supersede the traditional values of another?

I think everyone's traditional values, whatever they may be, should be promoted in their homes, in their houses of worship and in the way they conduct their lives not via Government decree.

Traditional values are what America was built on . Such as honor, integrity, respect for oneself and others.

Commitment, honesty and decency in business and in family.. It is character building of a nation and individuals.. It is the fabric of our country and its people.

All nice traits, but the government cannot legislate them into happening and they should not be trying, it ain't their JOB. That is YOUR job, pass on your values to your children and live by example.

most of our 'elected' are no better than favre, woods, etc and don't get me started on the 'supposed' mega-church leaders doing drugs, male prostitutes, etc...but all is forgiven

start your traditional values at home and be an example for your kids, neighbors, etc 1st before asking someone else to be the example

Interesting.
I have the feeling that the answers given are merely backlash for the progressive values that have been promoted over the last couple of years.

I have watched Andy Griffith, great show. Every Tbagger I have met always reminds me of Barney Fife. You know always needing a gun, but could not be trusted not to shoot himself in the foot.

Andy was the liberal on the show. He used common sense and did not need a gun.

Great show.

Why do people such as yourself feel the need to lie to make a point?
