Ah, the lies we were told about "shovel ready" jobs! yeah, the Communists in the oval Office were going to rebuild infrastructure and other things. However, dang, wish I could find the newsstory where someone in our Legislative Branch boldly told that we had "missing stimulus money." I know I read it, and heard it referred to on talk radio, without question.
I recall, at the time thinking of how BO peculiarly wants a "Civilian Security Force" that he said, not my words that he wants "as big, well funded and powerful as our military!" Hmm...I was thinking....did they? could they? well yeah.....put some of that away to fund this force without having to ask Congress to apropriate for it?!
LOL right wingers,.. All that was included in the bill construction wise was road work. I noticed may signs myself going down the highway stating the work being done was funded by the stimulus.
The orginial stimilus bill was suppose to build bridges, and provide jobs what happened to the money? Union pensions plans get it?
Yeah, 95% of that went to the government unions as a pay off for the half billion to the Presidential campaign.
More interesting is the one Bush did to the financial institutions were pretty much paid back and there was no decrease in the national debt, so where did the money paid back (nearly a trillion) go?
It went to pork projects. John Murtha airport anyone ?
I saw those stimulus signs as well..put on roadwork already paid for by our local government.
The work was 3/4 done when the stimulus passed and by golly those roads got those signs.
same thing that happened to the 3 billion the honcho in afganistan got.
