socialism DEMANDS that you conform..so conform or be exterminated
socialism demands you do what's right for society...so having a ""carousel"" (nei logan's run) where you CONFORM to society and WILLINGLY are EXTERMINATED is MANDATED
socialism (nei 1984) DEMANDS you turn in any violaters (ie attack.watch)
socialism is anti-fredom...socialism OUTLAWS fatty foods, salt, sugars, pepper...(nei demolution man):
.....[A]nything not good for you is bad, hence, illegal. Alcohol, caffeine, contact sports, meat......
.....Bad language, child play, gasoline, uneducational toys, and anything spicy. Abortion is also illegal. But, then again so is pregnancy, if you don't have a license.....

as Dennis leary so said:A]ccording to Cocteau's plan, I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal?....I've seen the progressive liberal socialist future. You know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin, sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing, "I'm an Oscar Meyer wiener."

socialism is an open door to totalarism
You live up top, you live Cocteau's way: what he wants, when he wants, how he wants. Your other choice, come down here, maybe starve to death.
You are clueless. Please cease talking about that which you know nothing.

A Socialist Motto: "You don't understand what socialism is!"

Enlighten me.

A sucessful socialism is Israel with its kibutzim (Collective Farms) and state owned companies which builds tanks, planes and helicopters for the Israel Defense Forces. Out numbered more than 10 to 1, Israel keeps unfriendly neighbors at bay so Israel jas to get every Israeli on the team they simply can't afford to let people do their own thing.

Just ask the banks, the airlines, and the car companies that are still in business. Successful? Why it's been a regular windfall for them!

The Russians realized that socialism is people oppressing people and that capitalism is the same thing only in reverse. When Vladimir Putin sits in the same office chair that Vladmir Illych Lenin or Leonid Brezhnev sat , how can one argue that the new boss is any different from the old boss?

American patients in thousands going to India for their medical/dental treatment/surgeries as they cannot afford extremely high cost in USA. India is a socialist country. The pathetic state of public transportation in USA except East Coast is one example where socialist countries have done better. High amount of student debt is there in USA which is not there in socialist countries. So Socialist countries are better in Education, Healthcare, Transportation.

We already are a socialist country. We are led by corporate socialists who have packaged it as capitalism so they don't have to give us anything in return.

I do actually agree with the first point. I think Social Democracies in Norway, Sweden, Finland etc. have been very successful, because up until recently they were inhabited purely by Nordic people who all conformed to the model and didn't abuse the generosity of the state.
In this case it works.

Once you get a large group of people who abuse it, it all falls to bits. This is definately the case in the UK. We have an increasing group who totally don't pull their weight and seem to think the world owes them a living!
It's like a living in a shared house, it only works when everyone chips in and shares out the chores. If one person always ends up left doing the washing up they quickly get pissed off and decide not to do any chores whatsoever!

I think the same could be said for greedy capitalist supporters. If they behave in a fair and ethical manner, the system could work. Once they become greedy, it falls apart because the people on the bottom get sick of being screwed over.
