With all of the talk about special interest in washington, who is really in control of our politicians? Who really dictates the policy out of congress?

The top 1% was the closest of the answers, but mostly it is campaign contributors, who may or may not be in the top 1%. They include unions, gays, and atheists, as well as religious groups. It likely does not include welfare queens, unless you define it to include GM, Lockheed Martin, and Fannie May.
