I challenge you to to show how you measured "Most people probably have not heard of it"...how scientific or accurate is that?
.
Inclusion of the word 'probably' should have been first clue that it was not intended as 'scientific' or 'accurate.' But anyway, that was what the CNN poll found--most people had not heard of it. Nice dodge of the basic point though--if you can't define it, you can't measure it.
A_Lexus, please tell me you are spoofing us. Did people elect 60 new GOP House members just last year because they were 'sick to death of the Republican ideology?'
The tea party's whole agenda was political to gain seats in the midterm elections. The whole "movement" was hijacked and deliberately organized by the Koch's, Palin, and Beck with their influence and huge funds pushing the furthest right candidates in the elections. While they were somewhat successful as the people wanted to give this "new" apparently independent group a shot, their supporters were thrown in the trash after the elections and these new "tea party" politicians they elected turned out to be nothing but radical right wing fringe GOP candidates. This betrayal and their very anti-american ways are why the tea party turnouts at events as of late have been downright laughable and their approval ratings in the toilet.
First he had to attempt to compromise with the GOP, yielding to their demands, so that the country can witness what detrimental effect the Republican way has on our country. We had 8 years of their crap under Bush, and now 3 years of their obstructionist BS.
Can you provide some examples of your claims? Some that perhaps include the following:

Inclusion of the word "most" seemed to be an attempt to put numbers on something you couldn't.
Nice dodge on the point that OWS protests are happening all around the world.....which proves that more than "probably" lots of people have heard of it.
Well back them all you want to they are nothing like the TEA Party. They dont stand for anything American that is probably why obama is supporting this.
What they are asking seems to have been pretty American in the mid '70s and early '80s.
The very premise of an 'approval rating' for an amorphous group like the Tea Party or OWS is dumb. I challenge anyone to define either group, and if you can't define it, how in hell are you gong to measure approval? It does not surprise me coming from Time though.
Anyway, CNN also recently did a poll of OWS approval and found it at 27 pct, so it looks like the pollster community has some splaining to do. Most people probably have not heard of it or know very little about it. I think only a week ago or so, I saw 'OWS' in a thread title and did not know what it was.
Amazingly (not really) the same poll says that 65% say the OWS movement will have little to no influence. Somehow the OP'er forgot to mention that...
you have far right posters now that just spend all day on OWS now, which tells me they are doing something right.
You are correct. It's called fear. They fear that their beloved idols, may have to come off the hip a little.
