Most Americans get their news from these leftist outlets and never have the ability to seek another point of view.

70% of American citizens are center/right.

The sleeping giant of middle America is about to awaken!
No ability to hear another point of view? Ever heard of Fox News? Rush Limbaugh? Talk Radio??? Blogs???? We're not living in North Korea, you know.

Most Americans are Centre/Right. The Tea Party, however, is Far Right. It won't necessarily translate into votes. Maybe you have some polls that conteract the tsunami of negative numbers the Tea Party has received since their little debt ceiling hissy fit? Haven't seen one yet.

I really do hope these poll numbers are a forecast for 2012, then maybe the Tea Party will finally shut up about their supposed popularity.

"The demonstrations against big banks has a 54% favorability rating compared to the conservative group's 27%"

Occupy Wall Street movement is twice as popular as the Tea Party: Time poll
Why aren't they protesting the White House and congress instead? Obama has accepted approx. 18 million dollars in donations from Wall Street, more than any other President....

Default Another fantasy in the media love affair with Obamanomics

Wall st pros can get those kind of poll numbers only with the help of the media turned propaganda machine.

Again, right out of an early westermn movie where the hopelessly outnumbered drag tree branches behind their horses to create a dust cloud intended to give the impression of larger numbers.

We outnumber the WSPs exponentially, only with the direct help of the traitorous media do they still pretend to have substance and carry the day.

Not unlike that soon to be former US president who received the transparency award in secret from OMB Watch and a Nobel Peace prize for absolutely no demonstarted accomplishment.

Listening to the MLK dedication speakers and hear nothing but diviseness and resentment spoken in the name of a father co-opted by his children.
The fantasy and delusion continue to be stirred.

As in not reporting everything in a far right bias like fox, yes most media outlets are fair to facts.

As in show the protests in a neutral light and don't constantly bash them and make up lies like fox, correct.

Most americans get their news from numerous sources and make up their own opinions, where the overwhelming numbers on the right get their news from fox and only fox, proving they don't give a damn about facts. They just want to hear what they want to hear no matter how false or distorted.

Try again. The overwhelming number of US citizens consider themselves democratic or liberal.

It's been awake for a while. They awoke back when the Koch puppet Walker waged war on the middle class, and was greeted by over 100,000 protesters strong in madison and nationwide, with the OWS coming on in even bigger force. No wonder the right wingers are losing it. The waves of freedom are stronger than ever against the far right wing fascist machine

1. OWS is a social movement not a political one.
2.The Tea party has been around for a few years, and fielded candidates that are far right, thus sparking a lot of public ire.

Not that i am any fan of the tea party, but you really can't compare the 2 in polling terms.

Well, CHANGE is happening... Welcome to the OWS! The existence of the OWS indicates that the GOP is in serious trouble in '12.
People are not buying the lies that greedy rich corporations care about the middle class.

With due respect, it seems to me that even though a lot of the far right "populist anger" may be misplaced, they're still coming from essentially the same place that the OWS folks are, which is the general sense that they're somehow being screwed by the current system. And whether it's the Koch Bros., or Murdoch and FOX News, or the mainstream GOP, or even Obama's re-election machine... part of the success of that very "system" is the ability of the folks "on top" to wage the ancient strategy of "divide and conquer", by simply pitting the people at the bottom against each other.

So just labeling the OWS folks as "communists", "hippies", whatever or framing this as a "conservative vs liberal" thang, is simply part of that game. But every indication is that this is a much more amorphous group that resists easy pigeonholing. And it's still a young movement, literally and figuratively, which seems to take a lot of its cues and infrastructure from the internet and "social networking", which means its true growth and direction will be hard to track by the mainstream. And it also still seems to be working on its "message" and direction, but so far it does seem to have staying power.

It didn't get that way until the unions showed up, FWIW.
