bank-transfer-day-mainstreet: Personal Finance News from Yahoo! Finance

I pulled my money out of big banks a long time ago, I hope thousands, if not millions of people do the same. I can't believe people are stupid enough to continue to let banks gouge them left and right for the 'privilege' of using their own money.

Thank you so much for posting the link. I've been considering transferring our money to a credit union. I'm in the process of evaluating my options since I have many.

November 5th is quite doable.

Good. Do it for the sake of your wallet and the for the sake of the country. I can't believe the idiots running banks like B of A complain about losing money on debit cards because of new legislation when they still will make $3.3 billion on debit transactions.

We need to hit them where it really hurts.

Watch the credit unions. My friend who bragged about her credit union for years will now pay fees.

Wells Fargo took over our bank, Wachovia, and its been downhill ever since.
We went to the bank the other day to close out all our accounts there, and were informed that we needed an appointment to close out accounts.
November 5 is on a Saturday though.....guess we will have to make an appointment for the 4th.

At least any profits earned by a CU go back to the customer. CUs are not for profit.
