Isn't that what abortion advocates are all about, using abortion as a way of eliminating unwanted children from the world? But, every once in a while, some child who was not aborted, is adopted and becomes someone famous and they grow up to make positive changes in the lives of many people.
They are not considered to be Babies at the time when most abortions take place. As one poster pointed out, abortion was not legal at the time of his birth, so the entire point of this thread is based on a false premise. Of-course we do know that, legal or not, women will always find a way, no matter how dangerous, to abort a fetuse they do not want to carry to term.
No I think people who say "well most kids are not going to turn out to be Steve Jobs so its ok to slaughter them" are nazis.

That's the point! If Mr. Jobs biological mother had the thought process of some of the people on here, the world might not have nerer known his greatness.
Pro-life activists are extremists who want to legislate their religious beliefs onto everyone else. They also do not seem to realize that this world is not the world of the 1950's, and there is no going back. The world is full of sex, it is in every magazine, television show, movie , book-eveywhere. Kids today are sexualized at earlier ages than they were in the 50's- to think that kids should be shielded from contraceptives and then also want to outlaw abortions is just illogical. Many of these right wing pro lifers are the ones most vocal about 'those deadbeats on welfare' or 'those lazy moochers on food stamps'. Those that choose to have abortions do so because they are unable to become parents for one reason or another. The answer is not to eliminate abortion, it is to educate the kids and provide easy access to contraceptives so there is no need for the abortions in the first place. But these right wingers cry foul when schools have anything to do with this, in fact the right wingers seem to want to hinder education when it does fit into their 1950's mentality. I guess they would rather have a bunch of unwanted children be born into a system that has no money to provide for these kids, so they will grow up likely criminals who the right wingers can then put to death through capital punishment, pro life unless they are adults in prison.
There is a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
There is no "right" to kill.
The STATE thinks otherwise and does it themselves all the time
