Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown blamed his staff Thursday for passages about his upbringing on his official Senate website that were lifted word for word from a 2002 speech by former senator and presidential candidate Elizabeth Dole.

Brown's spokesman, John Donnelly, said excerpts of the speech were on Dole's website, which aides used as a template for his, and that the passages were transferred inadvertently without being rewritten.

Poor Scotty. First he makes fun of Elizabeth Warren's body, and now he's been caught plagiarizing a speech by Elizabeth Dole. Maybe he has a thing for women named Elizabeth?

The Democratic smear machine is in full operation.

No, but I guess he's hiring shady characters to do it.

I thought plagiarism was now no big deal. Joe Biden did it and was rewarded with the VP slot.

It should always be pointed out. And then the voters can decide whether or not it's a big deal to them.

Why you would even want to plagiarize Elizabeth Dole in the first place is beyond me.

This pretty much sums up almost every gaffe nowadays, intention or not.

If he's My Guy, it's fine, and I will dismiss it.

If it's Your guy, it must be bad, and is indicative that your party is all bad.
