lol...good try. It was an investment in something, what is yet to come to light. Following the money trail will prove that out.

On 31 August 2011 Solyndra announced it was filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, laying off 1100 employees, and shutting down all operations and manufacturing, while providing no severance for the fired employees, or even providing back due vacation day credit.[17]

So, why would a Time Magazine reporter try to protect Solyndra ????
Because he's paid by the government to do that.

That's right. He would have survived had he done nothing at all. Instead he tried to bury it and that's when he actually started violating laws.

But, by all means, keep grasping at those straws.
I wonder how much of every page of those things has been redacted. Maybe at least half of every page.

Well now that is a part of the story that old Bob doesn't want to deal with.

Using that term, investment in this discussion is very sick. Obama calls giving money to green businesses investment but I don't think that government invests in things. Taxpayer money just never has been "invested" till Obama and his czars came along using it that way.

Has anybody noticed that this thread has only been invaded by one lefty and he has only posted 3 times? I bet many of them are staying away for really good reasons and old bob doesn't necessarily know why the others aren't around this deep in the discussion.

The whole dang thing is a joke, just as is this administration. Going to be new and exciting, and a different kind of President, don't make us laugh. The most Transparent administration, another joke for us folks. I see somethingg to hide all over this story, coverup, i believe will happen. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear Mr. President, Let us see what you have. If innocent, you have nothing to hide, so hand over all Solyndra information.

Anyone thinks this scandal here is of no importance to us, or made up, you all have major issues, and you belong in the Mickey Mouse Club.

This here administration, is the worse by far, Transparent my A-- and please no kiss.

Default Where the money go? names of the recipients who ened up with the half billlion$$$?

Bob, please edit your post.

"It was an investment that failed, not a scandal. Not all investments work out and yes, Dems are disappointed it failed as well."

With all due respect to your efforts, that statement absolutely diminishes your position in this argument and negatively colors the sincerity of any other topic you might choose to discuss. You do your fellow Dems a disservice in declaring this a random failed investment.

Hint!

The rest of the world would consider an investment of their money into a company that was well known by all sides to be on the verge of bankruptcy as a criminal act.

If not a criminal act, it reflects the stunning incompetence of the investor and the investor's lack of respect for the taxpayers who entrusted him with their hard earned dollars.

To place a bet that the Titanic would reach NY while you watched it go end up in the north Atlantic is more akin to what Obama demonstrated with Solyndra.

Furthermore, Obama was granted to opportunity to speak from hindsight, which we all know is 20/20, and he claims his investment was a still a good idea????

The only scenario that fits Obama's hindsight comments are that he is laundering money intended to end up in the coffers of the socialist ideologs that continue their efforts to socialize America.

The question no one has asked is what is the final disposition of the half billion dollars? I'm talking names here, the names you find behind organizations who received this windfall. We need names.

Bob, have a great day and keep up the good work.
