Friend I am an electrical engineer. There is absolutely no way to prevent those things from being defeated by hanging a conductor between them ...don't give me any parallel/series nonsense. you can't get shocked by two or more wires connected together.

YOu use such a device in a prison situation where you control the side under attack. Other wise forget about it.

And there are all sorts of clever ways to short things out. Hell spray them with salt water and watch the sparks.

Right. Because if a building's lights go out all of them go out...

Do you think the illegal Mexicans crossing the border have electrical engineering degrees?

I support Cain's proposal.

There are non-lethal ways to enter the country. Crossing the border illegally should not be one of those options.

I haven't read this thread but at first glance the whole electric fence idea seems like a good idea until you take it up a notch and the realize it would be PEOPLE that would be dying...(not to mention all the animals that would get caught in the fence by accident) This would fast become a Public Relations nightmare of the Berlin Wall magnitude...no thanks...

After listening to the original a couple of times I would agree he was not really serious...but I would not agree that he was joking.

Cain Proposes Electrified Border Fence - NYTimes.com
What's wrong with that?

It would be advertised as "Danger".
