Do you believe that the German Democratic Republic was democratic?
You really should go back and redo your 6th grade civics class.

You have to start at the local level, town by town. You have to eliminate the "winner takes all" rules. Eliminate gerrymandered districts. Eliminate the notion that corporations are people. Candidates should only be allowed to accept a certain amount of money from individuals who reside in their city and/or state. That's it. No corporate donations, no PAC's, etc. Start at the bottom and move up.

Sadly, none of that is going to happen because too many voters have the attention span of gnats.
Or, letter Q, they don't believe we need to fundamentally transform America. I guess it's easier to just call them gnats though...

I live in Germany. I know what Nazis call themselves. Rechtsextremismus includes the Nazis. Far-right politics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I see so many of these violent anarchists use the products of capitalism that it is hard to take them seriously.
Why are you bundling communism and socialism with anarchism? Anarchists are anti-statist and hate authoritarians. From what I see, most of the protesters hate that our government has been bought by banks and corporations. And, they hate that our government doesn't work for the People. Speaking up about those two things is noble in my eyes. It takes a great deal of courage and energy to do what these protesters are doing.

Okay. I didn't see you were in Europe but that still doesn't change the fact that socialism can be either left or right. I don't know what grade they should have taught that to you in...

The only reason China hasn't collapsed is because they embraced capitalism 20 years ago.
My God, I'm talking across decades of time aren't I? Your views are just so simplistic and wrong. Anyone who thinks the USSR "hated" capitalism or that the Occupy protesters want everything for free is missing a lot.

But it was fun talking to the 1940's, thanks.

Communist and anarchist actually share a lot in common. Anything socialist have in common would only come from the fact that, as Marx and Engles proposed, is the transition between capitalism and communism.

I guess I'll do the definition thing again...

Quote:
Definition of COMMUNISM

1
a : a theory advocating elimination of private property b : a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed
2
capitalized a : a doctrine based on revolutionary Marxian socialism and Marxism-Leninism that was the official ideology of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics b : a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production c : a final stage of society in Marxist theory in which the state has withered away and economic goods are distributed equitably d : communist systems collectively

Communism - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

I thought this is what school was suppose to be for...

Ok, smartass! Not all Anarchists oppose private property. Secondly, virtually all Anarchists are anti-statist, they would resist any totalitarian system of government. The OP's remarks were utter nonsense. The only thing that communists, socialists and anarchists have in common is that they're Leftists.

I know. If I would just stop presenting facts then some of your cohorts could continue on with their relentless attempt to earn the Joseph Goebbels propaganda award...

Really. Care to prove me wrong? I'd love to see it! They were called the Socialist Party but they were anything but.
