Who knows? It just says "roads" in the thread title. It could be construed to mean anything. You pay taxes for interstates, too.

you want to travel the interstate from bangor, maine to maimi, florida...this is the total tolls for I95....you want to travel the interstate from savana, Georga to san diego, cali...this is the total tolls for I20.....

the same for state highways...ie the new york thruway, or the garden state parkway in jersey

I don't get it? If you drive from Buffalo, WY to the Mexican border on 1-25 (to use a local example), you are paying quite a bit in gas tax as you go.

yep gas tax that is NOT BEING APPLIED to I25, it gets mixed somewhere in the general fund, and ends up paying for a politicians vacation instead
if you tax the road..the RoaD that gets the most WEAR AND TeaR will get the money...not a stupid politicain that would rather sink the gas tax into amtrac
